PullKeys (Pullcore)

The Austdac type ESS3 cable pull or pull key limit switch is used in many applications to control distributed plants, such as conveyor belts or belt conveyors used in the mining or material handling industries. The pull key is used to provide controlled stop functions for distributed plants or conveyors. The pull key can be operated using the knob located in the center of the front or each of the two flexible cable pull actuators located on the sides. Side cable pull actuators can be used in tensioned and untensioned systems. Each of the pull cord actuators is equipped with an eyelet to allow easy connection of the pull cord or cable using some of the accessories described in section 7 of this manual. The ESS3 provides six independent uncommitted voltage free SPDT or switching contacts for use in conveyor control. The contacts can be configured to handle low voltage mains circuits up to five amps or extra low voltage circuits with currents as low as 100 uA. The cord-operated pull wrench measures 270mm (W) x 100mm (H) x 115mm (D), including its convenient mounting feet that allow the ESS3 to be mounted to a gear tray or carrier frame with two M10 (3/8”) bolts. The large, centrally located knob provides an indication of the switch's status through its position and through two reflective "cat eyes" that can only be seen from a long distance when the switch is in the stop or lock position. Hubbus Controller

In today's mining industry, there is an increasing demand for safety, greater efficiency, greater reliability and lower cost of ownership in mine-wide monitoring and control systems. Austdac has been at the forefront of this industry for 30 years, supplying conveyor control systems. With a continued commitment to research and development, Austdac is proud to announce its latest family of world-leading fieldbus products. This new family offers features such as ease of installation, greater ease of customer configuration, diagnostic capability and IEC61508 functional safety certification by TÜV. The advanced features of this system have led to the granting of three patents for world-leading design and innovative features. HubBus provides data transmission and power on a single pair of cables and has been developed to enable safe and reliable control and monitoring of systems: Over 16 km in length Over 320 line-powered devices Up to 2,048 addressable channels Patented communication technology to operate in industrial environments with electrical noise Easier maintenance and repair along with the reduced possibility of wiring failures with the use of plug-in connectors that are available with screw or spring terminals and horizontal cable entry or vertical. To simplify wiring, a DIN rail communication bus can be used locally with other modules. The DIN rail bus carries power, HubBus signal line and Modbus data. A common design across the product module range with easy-to-read LEDs that display communication, power and line status at a glance, plus a quick-open flip-top cover for access to the configuration port. Setup is also simplified as all modules use the same easy-to-use handheld programmer and tester. With increasing network length and number of devices, there is an increase in device response times. To overcome this, the system supports configurable bandwidth with automatic detection by line devices and a proprietary exception handling protocol to improve response times. Advanced metrics available with additional monitoring software include long-term failure analysis and device response time for system mapping.

Cable Austdac

Cable type A32 - CAC2P1FYU is designed for HUBBUS systems. The cable provides power or control to auxiliary equipment such as strobe lights and pre-start sirens, or external power to applicable HUBBUS modules via the 4mm2 pair and HUBBUS signal and line power via the 2.5mm2 shielded pair. HUBBUS cable has a stainless steel braid under the outer jacket to provide mechanical strength to stop stretching of the cable where the cable is used as an emergency stop cord. The tough polyurethane outer jacket provides wear resistance where the HUBBUS cable passes through pigtails or support loops. The HUBBUS cable consists of two main elements, a 4mm2 unshielded pair and a 2.5mm2 shielded twisted pair. The 4mm2 pair is made up of 56 strands of 0.3mm tinned copper wire, while the 2.5mm2 pair is made up of 50 strands of 0.25mm tinned copper wire to provide maximum strength and flexibility. All conductors are insulated with PE. The 2.5 mm2 pairs are protected with an aluminum tape and a 24/0.2 TC drain conductor. The outer cover is made of flame retardant polyurethane and is available in red or yellow. Each batch of Austdac cable is checked, inspected and tested to ensure that the specified electrical parameters are met. 5 Core Cord Cable - Austdac 1 Pair 4mm2 1 Pair 2.5mm2 Twisted Pair with Screen PE Insulation on Individual Cables Flame Retardant PU Outer Jacket Stainless Steel Braiding UL/cUL Listed
